Birmingham News, Obituary Files, Alabama State Archives, Montgomery Al
Hartselle, Ala. Funeral services for Mrs. J.C. Black, 790, Falkville matron, who 
died following a brief illness at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W.E. 
Beasley, were held at the Falkville Methodist Church with the Rev. C.L. Cobb and 
the Rev. J.H. Roberts officiating. Burial was in Falkville Cemetery. Survivors 
include four daughters; Mrs. Beasley, Mrs. C.L. Cobbs, Decatur; Mrs. Ollie 
Wilhite, Memphis; Mrs. J.A. Johnson, Savannah, GA; a son, John R. Black, 
Birmingham, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
I have a collection of obituary articles that were cut out of Alabama newspapers, 
and found in the Archives. Not all are indentified by newspaper, or date.
