Funeral rites ...at Mt. Tabor Church Tuesday...and interment was in the Mt. Tabor cemetery...Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lannie [Lantee] Smallwood and Mrs. Lulu Couch; one son, Archie Black; 20 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. Additional Comments: I have a collection of obituary articles that were cut out of Alabama newspapers, and found in the Archives. Not all are indentified by newspaper, or date. Mary Elizabeth Brooks married James Riley Black on July 25, 1878 in Morgan County, Alabama; buried Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery, Hartselle, Morgan County, Alabama. Mrs. Lantee Smallwood was born Mary Ella Black. She married Lantee Smallwood February 12, 1905 in Morgan County, Alabama. Mrs. Lulu Couch was born Lula Jane Black. She married Oscar C. Couch July 22, 1908 in Morgan County, Alabama. Archibald Bascom Black married Cynthia Leona Garrison on September 18, 1902 in Morgan County, Alabama.
