W. W. Black, superannuated minister, died suddenly at his home here...he was one of the most widely beloved churchmen in North Alabama. Funeral services were conducted at the First Methodist Church Tuesday...Rev. Black is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Vera Lawrence, Hartselle; one son, Fred Black, Adamsville; his mother, Mrs. J. W. J.Black, of Adamsville; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Henry Black, Adamsville; four sisters, Mrs. Sidney Johnson, Adamsville, Mrs. H. H. Black, Mrs. Lela Glasgow, Birmingham. and Mrs. Mamie Godfrey, Bessemer.
