It therefore ordered by the Court that a final settlement of the said Estate will be made at Perry Court House on the first Friday in November next at which time and place those interested may attend. Minutes Orphan Court C, Perry Co., AL, 1838-1843 Page 328 The State of Alabama Perry County Orphans Court, February Term 1842 This day came the final settlement of the Estate (of) William Eubanks, and It appearing to the satisfaction of the court that publication has been regularly made, and It appearing further to the court that William Eubanks, administrator, has now in his hands the sum of three hundred and seventy dollars and one cent subject to distribution among the heirs. It is ordered and decreed that the administrator pay over the following sums of money to Barbary Eubanks, widow of (the) deceased, seventy-five dollars and eighty cents. To George, James, Charles, Lemuel, William, Littleton, Evan, Burrell, Alfred, Jackson, Matilda, and Permely to each and everyone the sum of twenty- five dollars and twenty-six cents, and that then the said William Eubanks, administrator, go hence and be discharged. Given under my hand and seal this 4th day March 1842. O. C. Eiland, J. C. Additional Comments: George Eubanks died between 1860-1870. He was last recorded in the 1860 Perry Co., AL, Census. Charles was living in Greene Co., MS, when his father died. He married a MS girl and lived in Greene Co., MS, until his death in 1884. William continued to live in Perry Co., AL. He last appears on the Perry Co., AL, Census in 1880. Some of his children moved to Kemper Co., MS. Littleton is probably the Littleton (1810-1898) who is buried in the Remlap Cemetery in Blount Co., AL. Evan married Sarah A. Holley and moved to Anderson Co., TX. Burrell last appeared living in household of Burrell Holley working as a ditcher in the 1860 Perry Co., AL Census. A Burrell Eubanks served with Company A, 20th AL Regiment of the CSA. Perhaps he never returned. Alfred is last recorded living in Perry Co., AL, on the 1860 Census. An Alfred Eubanks from Perry Co., AL, died of disease while a POW in Camp Chase, OH, April 28, 1865. Jackson was last recorded on the 1850 Perry Co., AL Census living in the household with his brothers Litleton, Burrell, Alfred and sister Permelia. Matilda married Oren S. Massey and eventually moved to Jefferson Co., AL. She last appears on the 1900 Jefferson Co., AL, Census living with her daughter Sarah (Sallie) Wood. Permelia was the only child to be born in Alabama, and she is recorded as living with her nephew George P. Massey in Boount Co., AL, in 1900. She was 73. The fate of James and Lemuel Eubanks is unknown.
