Massey over the estate of James Wilson dec’d filed Feb. 3rd 1868 and set for hearing this day of which due notice was given by posting. All the heirs and distributors of said estate being adults, the court proceeds on motion of the administrator to allow the same. It appears that said administrator is chargeable with the sum of eighty-six dollars. That he is entitled to credit by the sum of seventy-three 34/100 dollars, leaving a balance of twelve 66/100 dollars for distribution as follows. To wit: the sum of one 58/100 dollars to each of the following persons who are children of said James Wilson, deceased to wit: 1 William Wilson, 2 Wade Wilson, 3 Dave Wilson, 4 Frank Wilson, 5 Joe Wilson, 6 Mary Gee, 7 Huldy Childs, 8 Francis Wilson for which executor may issue. It is therefore ordered, adjudged, and decreed by the court that said account be allowed as above stated record and filed. Additional Comments: James was a free person of color born in South Carolina and moved to Alabama in the 1820s. He lived in Perry County throughout slavery.
