Perry Funeral Rites Conducted on Sunday Services for L.J.Perry, 74, well known resident of the Maplesville Community, whose death ocurred Saturday at his home after a illness of five months, were held at 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Maplesville Baptist Church, Rev. Paul Oten officiating. Interment was made in the Maplesville Cemetery, Jud Breslin directing. Pallbearers were J.E.Wallace,J.C.Atchison,J.R.Bearden,Emmett Shanks,I.A. Dennis,and J.E. Dennis. Mr. Perry had been a resident of Maplesville for some 25 years past,and was well known through out that section. He is survived by four daughters, Jennie Lou (T.B.) Cox of Selma,Mrs. Sallie (Frank D.) Young,Miss Annie Perry of Maplesville, and Mrs. Estelle (John A.) Goff of Birmingham, and three sons, Thomas E., Frank J.,and Joseph Pettus, all of Maplesville. There are also sixteen grandchildren. Note: Mr. Perry was born Sept. 24, 1858 in Perry Co., Al. to Benjamin Franklin Perry and Sarah Jane Taylor Perry.
