John Madison Tucker Dies At Residence Here After Brief Illness Was 79 Years Of Age Funeral services for the Rev. John Madison Tucker,79, who died Monday at his home near Marion after an illness of three weeks, were conducted Tuesday morning at Calvary Church in the North community with burial in Sardis Cemetery. The Rev. J.A. McCrary and the Rev. Ralph Gwin, of Marion, officiating. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Helen F. Tucker; four sons, Auther Fulton Tucker, Bomar, John B. and Madison Tucker, of Marion; five daughters, Mrs. Effie Hill, of Bessemer, Mrs. Tessie Fretwell, of Troy, Miss Hettie Tucker, of Troy. Mrs. Clifton Smith and Mrs Earl Smith of Marion. He leaves 32 grand- children and 36 great grand-children.
