Perry was born April __1843 and died that May Additional Comments: When we had our Perry Family Reunion in Austin, Texas March 11th and 12th, 2005, Nancy Vance a great great granddaughter of Bolling H Perry and Eliza Ferguson Perry, borrowed the Family Bible from her cousin James Houston Perry to share with us. This is Nancy's story on the Bible. When my grandfather, Luther Lee Perry, died, he passed the Bible to my Dad. The Bible had to stay in the Perry name, and Daddy had girls, so he passed the Bible to his cousin, Carl Houston Perry, who had three boys. One of those boys, James Houston Perry has the Bible today. The Bible went from John and Sarah Perry, Bolling H. Perry, to James Marion Perry, my g-grandfather, to Luther Lee Perry. Nancy's father bought the zippered cover for the Bible while in his care. The Bible withstood a house fire where it was the only thing saved. You can look at the cover and see the damage. Nancy feels it was in a house that belonged to Bolling and Eliza Perry. Nancy, we appreciate you bringing the Bible for us to view and take pictures. And to James Houston Perry "Thank You" for a step in faith in loaning the Bible to Nancy. We appreciate your generosity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Photo has been resized/compressed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Project ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/perry/photos/documents/perrywil1647gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 2.8 Kb
