It is believed they married around 1745 from the recorded dates of the birth of their first child. There were five pages of hand written information about the births of their children and descendants. Additional Comments: We had our first online Perry Family Reunion in Austin, Texas on March 11th and 12th, 2005. There were sixty plus family members in attendance from the families of Willaim and Martha Perry, John and Sarah Ferrel Perry's children. Represented were the families of Britton Perry and Mary Dennis Perry, Bolling Houston Perry and Elizabeth Ferguson Perry, Benjamin Perry and Eliza Kimbrough/Kimbro Perry. We also had members from William and Martha Perry's son, Benjamin Perry who was born in 1764, and Francis Perry who was a brother to our William Perry, also, the James Perry Family. On Friday, March 11th at 7:00 P.M. we had a STORY TELLING session which was most enjoyable. Again, on Saturday, March 12th at 2:00 P.M. we had STORY TELLING which gave us a great insight into the lives of our ancestors and current day cousins. Steve Watson, who many of you know is an avid researcher spoke to us on his theory of the parents of our William Perry. Later at 6:30 P.M. we had a Dinner Banquet with John D. Apperson telling us about William and Martha Perry, The travels of John and Sarah Ferrel Perry coming from North Carolina through Georgia and on into Perry County, Alabama in 1819. He also told of his great grandfather, Oliver Hazard Perry and his wife Lucy Allen Glenn, and his grandfather, William Oliver Perry and his wife Lillie Hamilton McGee. Norman Perry told of the lives of William and Martha Perry's son Benjamin Perry. Next was Polly Perry Logan telling her story of John and Sarah Ferrel's son Benjamin Perry and his wife Eiza Kimbro coming into Alabama, and then removing to Texas around 1849. I would say this was a very sucessful and fun event for our family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Photo has been resized/compressed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Project ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/perry/photos/documents/perrywil1643gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 3.0 Kb
