Robert Solomon Ham was born 16 Feb 1848 in Randolph Co., Al., and died 12 July 
1912 in Perry Co., Al. He married Ellen M. Ratliff on 1 April 1866 in Perry 
Co., Al., daughter of John Ratliff and Cynthia Fowler. She was born 28 Feb 
1846, and died 25 March 1920. Ellen and Sol Ham were divorced on 1 Jan 1894. 
Sol then married Mattie Rivers Bentley on 7 Jan. 1895.

Sol Ham was a well known potter in Alabama, who has descendants carring on the 
trade today. 

Sol and Ellen Ham are buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery in the Sprott Community of 
Perry Co., Al.
