I Claiborne Martin of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and memory and mindful of My Mortality do this 19 day of July A. D. 1851 Make and publish this my last will and testament. In the following manner viz 1st I give and bequeath to my wife Frances Martin all of my estate both real and personal during her natural life. 2nd After the death of my wife Frances Martin I give and bequeath to the heirs of my son C. J. Martin two hundred acres of the land I now possess including the building on my present residence said two hundred acres lying and being in Section No. 20 Township No. 19, Range No. 9, and the appurtenances thereunto belonging. 3rd after the death of my wife as aforesaid I give and bequeath the balance of my real Estate and all of my personal Estate to be Equally divided between my Several children as follows Wm. B. Martin and the heirs of C. J. Martin to inherit his portion, Haney Oaks, Fanny Smith, Amy Oaks, Sarah Crow, Lucinda Suttles, Clara Hunter, Malinda Chandler, and the heirs of my daughter Elizabeth Oliver dec'd to inherit the portion what would have fallen to their Mother to be equally divided between them also the heirs of my daughter Frances Chandler dec'd to inherit equally between them the portion which she would have inherited provided she was living. The property as aforesaid I give and bequeath as aforesaid to them and their heirs forever. Page 303 4th I give my daughter Sarah Crow and her two single children the privilege of living with my wife Frances Martin during her natural life and being supported in like manner with herself. 5th I do hereby constitute and appoint my son in law Thomas Oaks and my son C. J. Martin, Executor of this My last will and testament hereby revoking all other or formal wills or testaments heretofore by me made.
