Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Mr. Luna Ward, Burgess, father of Travis O. Burgess of 
Dadeville, who was a resident of this city a few years ago, were held at Mineral 
Springs Church, Reform, at 2 p.m. on July 10th. Burial was in the church 
cemetery. Mr. Burgess passed away on July 9th, after a long illness. He made his 
home with Mr. and Mrs. Travis Burgess. Other survivors besides Travis are two 
stepsons, William E. Brown, Bham and Tillman F. Brown, Hartselle; two brothers 
and eight sisters.
