              India Strickland
 Gordo- India Ola Strickland, 99, of Gordo, 
died March 20,1996, at Estes Park Manor 
Nursing Home.
 Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the 
chapel of Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home in 
Reform with the Revs. Chester Free and Dawson 
Morrison officiating. Burial will be in 
Greenhill Memorial Cemetery with Stabler-
Robbins Funeral Home directing.
 Mrs. Strickland was a member of Highland 
Baptist Church, a homemaker and widow of the 
late William Jonas Strickland.
 Survivors include four daughters, Lois Way, 
Pensacola, Fla., Ruth Barks, Moundville, 
Catherine Farley and Doris Jones, both of 
Gordo; three sons Edward Ray Strickland, 
Gordo, William Clyde Strickland, Johnson City, 
Tenn.; Hubert Strickland, (unknown); one 
sister, Fannie Mae Burkhalter, Gordo; one 
brother, Weldon Thomas, Northport; 17 
grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 11 
great-great-grandchildren.
 Pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Steve Byars, 
Lenard Barks, Clayton Strickland, Kenny Moore 
and Dudley Burkhalter.
 The family will receive friends from 6-8 
tonight at the funeral home.
