Miller cmiller20@comcast.net January 21, 2006, 9:07 am Source: Pickens Co Will Book Written: November 20, 1888 Petition to probate will of Drury Miller The State of Alabama Pickens County 20 Day of Nov 1888 To Hon T G Williams, Judge of Probate of said County The petition of Julia Miller respectfully represents to Your Honor that the late Drury Miller who was an inhabitant of this County at the time of his death departed this life on the 17 day of October 1888 leaving a last will and testament duly signed and published by him and attested by Wm Somerville, L P Baker, and O. L. McKinstry residents of said Pickens County in which your petitioner is named an executrix thereof and petitioner further states that the next of kin are Mary a female thirtythree years of age, and married to Henry A Binford and resides in Anniston Alabama, Richard W Miller a male age twentynine years and resides in Anniston Alabama, Rosalie a female twentysix years old married to John W Coleman and resides in Anniston Alabama, Fannie a female twentytwo years old and resides in Pickens County Alabama, Anna a female twentyone years of age and resides in Pickens County Alabama. Wherefore your petitioner prays that a day be set for hearing this petitioner prays that due notice thereof as required by law be given to the next of Kin of said deceased and that such other proceedings orders and decrees may be had and made in the primises as may be requisite and proper to effect the due probate and record of said will according to law. Additional Comments: Fannie later married Dr Abner Newton Steele from Greene Co. In 1900 Julia, Fannie and her husband, and Anna were also living in Anniston Al. Drury, Julia, and Anna (Annie) are buried in the New Bethany Cemetery in Pickens Co Al.
