Wade H. Graning Register I do solemnly swear that since the first day of Jany 18(35) to wit on or about the 1st I personally inspected the tract of land designated in the application of W.B. the N.W. 1/4 of N.W. quarter of section 5 in township No. 8 of range No. 21 in the district of lands subject to Sale at Sparta, Ala. and that there was not at the time,any person residing there on or cultivating the claim except myself, and I do not believe that any pre emption right exist, thereto either under the act of 29th May 1834 or that of the 19th June 1834 to any other. his Sworn to and Subscribed ( William Boutwell before me this (BLANK)1835) mark John Gillis J.P.( I do solmnly swear that the above described is intended to be entered for my personal benefit and not in trust for another and that the same is intended for the purpose of Cultivation and that I have not entered under the act of 3 April 1832 or under that of 2d March 1833, at this or any other Land Office of these United States any Land in Quarter, Quarter sections in my name or in the name of any other person.
