William Boutwell I do solemnly swear that the land above described is intended to be entered for my personal benefit and not in trust for another and that the same is intended for the purpose of cultivation and that I have not entered under the Act of Congress of the 5th April 1832 or under the Act of the 2nd March 1833 at this or any other Land Office in the United States any land in quarter quarter sections in my name or in the name of any other person except me. Sworn to and subcribed before me this 26th day of September 1836 William Boutwell John Gillis J.P. ************************************************************************* No. 3993 Land Office of Sparta, Ala September 26th 1836 It is hereby certified that in pursuance of law, William BOUTWELL of Pike County, State of Alabama on this day purchased of the Register of this office, the lot or South east Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of section number thirty-two in township nine of range number twenty-one containing thirty-nine & 88 3/4/100 scres, at the rate of one dollar and eighty-five & 3/4 cents. for which the said William BOUTWELL has made payment in full as required by law. Now Therefore be it known, that, on presentation of this certificate to the Commissioner of the General Land Office, the said William BOUTWELL shall be entitled to receive a patent for the lot above described.
