Written: October 29 1827 Recorded: May 9 1962 Patent Number 1226790 Know Ye, That Norman Uquhart, having deposited in the General Land Office a Certificate of the Register of the Land office at Cahaba, Alabama, whereby it appears that full payment has been made for the following described land: St. Stephens Meridian, Alabama. T. 13 N., R. 19 E., Sec. 23, W 1/2 NE 1/4. The area described contains 79.325 acres of Lands directed to be sold at Cahaba, Alabama, in pursuance of the Laws prividing for the sale of the Lands of the United States in Mississippi and Alabama, There is Granted, by the United States, unto the said Norman Urquhart and to his heirs the Tract of Land above described; to have and to hold the said tract of land with the appurtenances unto the said Norman Urquhart and to his heirs and assigns forever. This patent is granted as and for a patent intended to have been granted and issued on October 29, 1827, but the issuance of which is not sufficiently evidenced by the records of the Burea of Land Management. Additional Comments: In testimony whereof, the undersigned authorized officer to the Bureau of Land Management, in accordance with th provisions of the Act of Jun 17, 1948 (62 Stat. 476) has, the name of the United States, caused these letters to be made Patent, and the Seal of the Bureau to be hereunto affixed. Given under my hand, the District of Columbia, the Ninth day of May in the year of the Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixty-two and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and eithty-sixth.
