PUGH AND LEWIS PUGH The State of Alabama} Pike County} Know all men by these presents that whereas an order was granted to the undersigned by the Probate Court of said County, as Executor of the last will & Testament of Jesse Pugh dec'd of said County, deceased on the 13th day of January AD 1855 when John F. Shields became the purchaser of the North East quarter NE 1/4 of the North East Quarter NE 1/4 Sec. Township (14) of the T (10) in R (20, twenty at the price of one per dollars per acre, said land lying and being in the said County and said sale being this day confirmed by the Probate Court of said County & an or granted to make said purchaser a title to said lands. Now in consideration of the premises & of the payment of the purchase money by Shields the receipt & whereof we do hereby acknowledge, we have bargained, granted & sold & by these presents do bargain, grant, sell and convey to the said John F. Shields his heirs & assigns forever all the right title & interest whereof Our Testator, Jesse Pugh in his life time have in & to said Lands.
