ALGenWeb Archive File Manager - Carolyn Golowka October 2000 Transcribed by Martha Thayer Book M page 501 JESSE PUGH AND WIFE LYDIA TO ALBERT PUGH The State of Alabama} Pike County} Know all men by these presents that we Jesse Pugh and Lydia, the wife of the said Jesse Pugh, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars to us in hand paid by Albert Pugh of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and delivered, and by these presents, do give, grant, bargain, sell enfeoff, convey and deliver unto the said Albert Pugh his heirs and assigns the following described land to wit: The North E. quarter of the North West quarter of Section thirteen in Township ten of Range twenty in the District of Lands subject to sale at Cahaba to wit: also the South west fourth of North west fourth Section Thirteen township ten range twenty to have and to hold all and singular the Land aforesaid (all of which lies in the County of Pike unto he said Albert Pugh, his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever' and we bind ourselves and our heirs and legal representatives, Jointly and severely firmly by these presents, that we will forever warrant and defend the rites to all and singular the Land aforesaid unto the said Albert Pugh his heirs and assigns against all persons or against any one who may set up a claim to the land aforesaid or any part thereof either in law or in equity.
