ALGenWeb Archive File Manager - Carolyn Golowka October 2000 Transcribed by Martha Thayer Book M 499 & 500 LEWIS PUGH AND BEDY PUGH, HIS WIFE TO ROBERT ANDERSON Know all men by these presents that we Lewis Pugh and Bedy Pugh, wife of the said Lewis Pugh of the State of Alabama and County of Pike for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty Dollars to us in hand paid by Robert Anderson the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do hereby give grant bargain sell enfeoff and confirm to the said Robert Anderson a certain Lot or parcel of land known or designated as the SE 1/4 of the SE quarter of Section No. 2 Township Ten in Range No. 20 containing 41 acres in the District of Land subject to sale at Cahaba together with all and singular the Lands tenements and hereditaments hereunto appertaining. To have and to hold the aforegranted premises. To him his heirs or assigns forever, And we the aforesaid grantors do covenant with the grantee aforesaid his heirs and assigns that we are lawfully seized enfeoff the aforegranted premises that they are free of al incumbrances that we have a good right to sell and convey the same and that we will warrant and forever defend the same against the Lawful claims or demands of all persons.
