ANDERSON The State of Alabama} Pike County} Know all men by these presents that I, Martha Hill for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by Joseph W. Anderson the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Joseph W. Anderson all that Lot of Parcel of Land in the Town of Troy in said County, whereon the said Martha Hill now resides, more particularly described as follows, beginning at the North West corner of the Town of Troy according to the original plot of said Town, running thence East to the Road, Known as the Three Notched Road, Thence North down said Road, about Seventy yards to the Land of Joel D. Murphree thence West to the Land of Ansley Carr thence South to the place of beginning, bounded on the north by the land of Joel D. Murphree, East by the three Notched Road, South by Lots of J. B. Goldthwaite & J. D. Murphree & West by the lots of J. B. Fannin & Ansley Carr. To have and to hold the above granted premises to the said Anderson his heirs and assigns to their use & behoof forever. And I do covenant with the said Anderson that I am lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises, that they are free from all incumbrances, that I have a good right to sell and convey the same, and that I will Warrant and defend the said premises to the said Anderson his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims and demands of all persons.
