ANDERSON State of Alabama} Pike County} Know all men by these presence that I, Nancy T. House for the following consideration (To Wit)the sum of thirty Dollars to me in hand paid by Joseph W. Anderson the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargain, sold & conveyed & by these presence do bargain sell & convey unto the said Joseph W. Anderson his heirs & assigns the following described property to wit: Two acres more or less on the North side of Tompkins & Willsons lot down to the branch for a truck patch. Containing about two acres more or less the (sight of the spring reserved) to have and to hold the said property to him and his heirs & assigns sue & behoof forever & I, the said N. T. House do covenant with the said Joseph W. Anderson that the said property is free from all incumbrances that I have a good to convey the same and that I will warrant & defend the title hereby conveyed to the said Joseph W. Anderson his heirs & assigns against the lawful claims of all person whatsoever in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this the 29th day of April AD 1857. s/ N. T. Davis a subscribing witness to the foregoing conveyance known to me appeared before me this day and being sworn stated that Nancy T. House the grantor in the conveyance voluntarily executed the same in his presence and in the presence of the other subscribing witness on the day the same bears date that he attested the same in the presence of the grantors and of the other witness and that such other witness subscribed his name as a witness in his presence.
