Between Robert Anderson of Pike County, Alabama, of the first part and Charles Latimer of DeKalb County, Georgia of the second part. Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Dollars, lawful money of the Confederate States of America, to him in hand paid, by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said party of the second part, his heirs executor and administrator forever release and discharged from the same by these Presents, Has given bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, enfeoff, conveyed and confirmed by these presents Does grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, enfeoff, convey and confirm to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land in Pike County known as follows: The South half of S 1/4 of the South East fourth NE of Section Eleven (11) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty (20). The North East Fourth NE 1/4 of the South East Fourth (SE 1/4) of Section Eleven (11) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty (20), The East half (E 1/2) of the N West fourth (NW 1/4) of Section Thirteen (13) Township ten (10) Range Twenty (20, the West half of W 1/2) of the South west fourth SW 1/4 of Section Fourteen Township Ten (10), Range twenty (20). The North East fourth (NE 1/4 of the North East fourth NE 1/4 of section Twenty three (23) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty (20). Also a stripe of land containing forth three & one half acres of land taken from the Western side of the East half (E 1/4 of the North West Fourth at W 1/4) & the North East fourth. NE 1/4 of South east fourth (SE 1/4 Section Thirteen (13) Township ten (10) Range Twenty (20) Containing in the aggregate, Seven Hundred and twenty three two & one half acres more or less. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments, rights, minerals, privileges and appurtenance unto the above mentioned and described premises, belonging, or anywise appertaining. To have and to hold, the above granted and described premises, with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
