While the order was close to alphabetical, it wasn't perfect. Check all the way through before moving on. Some letters were not readable, I put * where I couldn't decipher it. The Quitman Guards left Troy, Alabama on July 18, 1861 and arrived at Fort Mitchell where there Regiment was organized. They became part of the 15th Alabama Infantry.
