A. Thompson T. B. Railey C. N. Mallett J. C. Hill Isaac Andress J. Q. Dees K. P. Rowell John McLindon David Stroud Joseph Bell J. W. Harris 3rd- called for the examination and inspection of the Roster as gotten up by Secretery J. W. Harris. Inspection being made and some additions suggested by those present, it was thought best to interlise ( that word unclear) amendments, And thereby get a more perfect roll, etc. signed: Joseph Bell Ch'm J. Harris Sect From the 1906 roster of the original members of the Quitman Guards(Co"I" of the 15th Ala Volunteers) as it left Troy on the 18th day of July 1861 and arrived at Fort Mitchell where the Regiment was organized. Adams, S.M.- 1st Leut. left the Reg't in Dec. '61 and came home, never returned to the service.-Died at home. Andress,I.N.- Wounded: but soon returned to duty, and served with honor to the surrender at Appomattox C.H. Arnold W.R.- orderly SGT, Discharged and came home and assisted in organizing the 37th Ala Regt by raising a company of which he was Capt. Promoted to Major and killed at the battle of Peachtree Creek near Atlanta, GA. Beecher, J.F.- Discharged and came home, too old for service. Dead. Ballard,James P.-Served through the war and got home. Died at Coperas Cove, Texas. Bell, Joseph- shot through the body at the 2nd battle of Manassas and came home, recovered and went back; helped to finish the war, and got back home. He was a fine soldier and is still living now in the City of Troy. Barnett, Brantley G.- Promoted to a Seargency. Served through the war and got home. Living at this time. Reported dead. Brown, William J.-Died of Measles at Haymarket, VA 1861 Brown, Dr. P.H.- Attached to medical staff
