Co I 15th Ala Regt -The Survivors- Met at comrade Joseph Bell residence in reunion capacity. It being the day for the Pike County reunion of Veterans and the day set apart for the receiving & dedication of the Monument built upon the Court square to the Memory of Pike County dead and the surviving Soldiers. The services were held and continued so late in the day that a very hurried call was made of those Co present and they met at and decided to hold their annual meeting on that day instead of the regular time July 18th. So the following comrades were present: John McLindon Green McLindon J .C. Hill S. B. Smith Mrs. Annie Gardner widow of Capt. Benj Gardener being in attendance and attended also by Miss Collie Gardner. A move was made by comrade Joseph W. Harris to make them honorary members of the Co. association. Which was voted upon and both made honorary members of the Co. The following comrades were in the city but the meeting being called late the following asked to be excused which was granted- as they had to prepare and get off for home John C.
