Alabama Census page 368 John Griffin 1 male 90-100 1 female age 50-60 listed as a revolutionary pensioner age 97. Census of Pensioners, 1841, p. 149. Additional Comments: John Griffin, My GGGGGrand Father was a Revolutionary War Vet, who moved from North Carolina to Pike County Ala, I think due to getting land as bounty for service. He is listed on the "Census of Revolutionary War Pensioners" and is shown as living in Pike County Ala. In 1840, he was listed as being 97 years old and was invited to meet General Layfayette at Clairborne Ala. He is supposed to have died in Pike county.
