Troy, Dec 22 - (Special) - News was received in Troy this morning of the killing of Cornelius Black. Cornelius Black, has a very unsavory reputation in the county, having been in all kinds of trouble at various times. Jack Black and his wife were separated, she going to live with her mother who is the wife of Cornelius. The children were kept by Jack and it is reported that Cornelius while drinking yesterday afternoon went to Jack's house to take the children home with him. Jack endeavored to keep him from entering the house but he entered anyway and is said to have attacked the son with a knife when Jack raised a gun and shot the old man down.
