This obituary was probably in a Conroe, Texas newspaper but there may have been a notice in a Pike County newspaper. Ben F. (should be Ben S.) Parks Ben F. Parks passed away Monday, June 26, (1939?), at 1:20 p.m. at the age of 55. Mr. Parks who was born in (Pike County) Alabama had lived in Conroe (Texas) for the past eight years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katie Parks of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Williams and Miss Julia Parks of Ft. Worth (Texas), and one son, Melvin Parks of Corpus Christi, three brothers, M.J. Parks of Conroe, A.D. Parks of Banks, Ala., and Ed Parks of Montgomery, Ala., three sisters, Mrs. H. W. Cotton, Mrs. C.C. McDowell and Mrs. D.B. Easterling of Montgomery, Ala., and one granddaughter. The body was sent to Brundidge, Ala., where funeral services were held Thursday.
