JOSEPH GLENN (died 5-10-1996) Rev. Joseph Glenn Carmichael, 71, of Goshen, Ala., Pike County, died Fri., May 10, 1996, in Montgomery, Ala., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Funeral services were Mon., May 13, 3:30 p.m., in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel, Troy, Ala., with Rev. Joe Lisenby, Rev. Tom Bracewell, and Rev. John Carmichael officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery at Glenwood, Alabama. Rev. Carmichael’s survivors include his widow, Elaine S. Carmichael of Goshen; two daughters, Debra C. Criswell, Pinson, Ala., and Joy C. Majors, St. Angelo, Tex.; two sons, Joseph Glenn, Jr., and Harvey Edward Carmichael, Zephra Hills, Fla.; four sisters, Evelyn C. Starling, Montgomery, Christine C. Hixson, Troy, Eva Nell Jackson and Enid Folmar, both of Glenwood; two brothers, John Carmichael, Glenwood, and Billy Wayne “Sonny” Carmichael, Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Additional Comments: He had taught Agriculture at Goshen High School, at least in the early 1960's.
