Bridges, August 2000 “Youngblood, Charles Robert, 82, a resident of 217 South Franklin Drive, Troy, AL, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at his home. Funeral services will be held from The Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, June 2, 2000 beginning at 2:00 p. m. with Dr. Ed Walter and Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park, Troy, AL with Dillard Funeral Home Troy directing. Mr. Youngblood was the former owner of Troy Variety Store and was the last living child of Maude (1) and Cleve Youngblood. Mr. Youngblood was a preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and one niece. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Lorene McGilvary Youngblood, Troy AL; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Clarence "Chuck" Dawkins, Prattville; grandson, Charles "Chuck" Dawkins, Prattville; sister-in-law, Nina Youngblood, Bagdad, Florida and Lillian Wilkerson, Troy; five nieces; one nephew and several great nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Troy.
