March 24, 1930 FOLMAR, JULIA L. KNOX (HENDERSON) b. 5-4-1861 – d. 3-23(?)-1930) Mrs. W. B. Folmar Died TROY - March 24 (AP) – Mrs. W. B. Folmar [Mrs. Wilson Bibb Folmar, who was Julia Knox Henderson Folmar], wife of one of the state’s outstanding business men, died at her residence here yesterday after an illness of several years. Her husband [survives her]; also Knox Henderson, her son by a former marriage; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services were conducted this morning. See Additional Comments Additional Comments: The day of Julia Folmar's death is questionable. Her tombstone and some records show that she died March 30, 1930, whereas the dateline on this obituary and the date shown by a death record index indicate she died March 23, 1930. Julia Knox first married Willis J. Henderson, and they had one child, Knox Henderson. Willis died in 1892. Julia married again in 1898, to Wilson Bibb Folmar, who survived her by 10 years, dying in 1940. Both were buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Troy. Bibb’s first wife was Annie Elizabeth Gilmore Folmar, who died 1896 after they had eight sons together.
