GREEN, JUDGE RILEY P., JR. (d. 8-10-1998)

	Judge Riley P. Green, Jr., 63, died Mon., Aug. 10, 1998, at his home in Troy,
Ala., Pike County.  Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wed., Aug. 12, at
Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, with Dr. James Sanders officiating.  Dillard Funeral
Home of Troy will direct. 
	Judge Green served in the 12th Judicial Circuit as Circuit Solicitor 1962-1964
and as Circuit Judge from 1964-1990.
	He is survived by his widow, Carline Ramage Green of Troy; two daughters,
Carlene Green Langley of Acworth, Ga., and Betty Louise Green of Montgomery; one
son, Riley P. Green, III, of Birmingham, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
	Pallbearers will be Judge Bill Bar, Weldon Walker, Chase Riddle, Jerry Vinson,
C. F. Roling, Bill Rice, Sr., Judge Bill Stone, and John Flora.  Honorary
pallbearers will be the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Pike and Coffee County
Bar Association, N. C. Green, William O. Porter, and Dr. J. C. Brantley.
	The family requests that any memorials be made to First United Methodist Church
of Troy or to the Pike County Chapter - American Cancer Society in care of Mary
Hilyer, 206 Lamar St., Troy, Ala. 36081 – or to your favorite charity.
	Visitation will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Tues., Aug. 11, 1998, at Dillard
Funeral Home.
