Elder J. J. Richards officiated, assisted by Elder F. A. Collins of Hartford. Burial was in the church cemetery [Hopewell Community Cemetery], with McGehee Funeral Home of Troy, Ala., in charge. Pallbearers were Mrs. Grimmer’s grandsons, Jim Tom Grimmer, Shelton Albritten, Llewellyn Berry, Merwyn Berry, Nelson Jones, and Billy Dyess. Additional Comments: Mrs. Grimmer was born in Pike County and lived in that county in the Darby’s Beat area near the Pike-Coffee County line. Her husband, James Asbury Grimmer, had died in 1902.
