T. Owens Dead From Wednesday, May 27th Yesterday evening about 7:30 o’clock the death of Wm. T. Owens, of this city, occurred in Tuscaloosa. It will be remembered that some time ago Mr. Owens had a stroke of paralysis, from which he never entirely recovered. He was taken to the Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa for treatment, but on yesterday succumbed. Mr. Owens was sixty-one years of age last February. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city. For a number of years he conducted a store on Love Street, near the intersection with South Oak Street. He leaves three children, all grown, Brady M., Howard and Clarence; two children and his good wife preceded him to the grave. Mr. Owens was a good man and had many friends in Troy who will regret his death. The remains will arrive tonight on Coast Line train 58 at 9:25 o’clock. The funeral will occur tomorrow at 9 o’clock at the residence of B. M. Owens, on Elm Street, after which the burial will occur at the New Cemetery. Dr A. B. Campbell, pastor of the First Baptist Church will conduct the funeral services. >From Thursday, May 28th The funeral of Wm. T. Owens occurred this morning at the residence of his son B. M. Owens, on Elm Street. The diseased had many friends in Troy and his funeral and burial were attended by a great concourse.
