GOODSON, SR. January 28, 1935 - November 19, 2002 Columbus, GA - Lex H. Goodson, Sr., 67, of Columbus,died at his residence Tuesday, November 19, 2002. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2002, at Central Baptist Church, with the Reverend Harold Watson and Reverend Udell Addison officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road. Interment in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Goodson was born January 28, 1935, in Pike County, AL, the son of the of the late William Henry and Bessie Lou Anderson Goodson. He had lived in Columbus most of his life and was retired from the Sunshine Biscuit Company as an oven operator. He was also an active member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Linda Self Godson of Columbus; two son: Buster and daughter-in-law: Debi Goodson of Columbus and Bobby L. Goodson of Columbus; one daughter: Terry Nunley and son-in-law, Glenn of Albany, GA; one sister: Gladys Starling of Columbus; six grandchildren, Matthew, Melisha, Josh, Mandi, Jaron and Brittany and one great grandchild, Madison.
