HOLMES, IRENE BROWN (b. 11-28-1904 – d. 12-22-1994)

	Irene Brown Holmes, age 90, of Troy, Ala., Pike Co., died on Thurs., Dec. 22,
1994, at her home at 1255 Connell Road.  Funeral services will be on Mon., Dec.
26, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ellie Bush officiating. 
Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Brundidge, Ala., with Jackson-Bryan
Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m.
	Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Troy, the Troy Public Library,
or Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge.
	Mrs. Holmes’ survivors include two daughters, Juanita Bush of Nashville, Tenn.,
and Betty H. Botts of Troy; a son, David G. Holmes of Brundidge; three sisters,
Ila Mae Powell of Pensacola, Fla., Ina Lee Pace of Marietta, Ga., and Izell
Brown of Wetumpka; a brother, Wallace L. Brown of Guntersville, Ala.;
grandchildren Joy B. Williams, Ellis Bush, Jr., Ken Botts, Emily Botts, Brent
Holmes, Melody B. Mead, Gayle B. Collier, Jennifer Botts, David B. Holmes, and
Heather Holmes; and 11 great-grandchildren.
	Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.  Honorary pallbearers will
be the Colley Sunday School Class and Pike County Creative Writers.
