Bridges" Obit of Ida Lizzie (Rushing) Spradley - Pike Co., AL The following was from a newspaper clipping given to me, Ron Bridges, by Gertrude P. Parnell via the mail on August 20, 1996. Mrs. Charles T. Spradley TROY, ALA., Oct. 5 - Mrs. Charles T. Spradley died at 1:30 p.m. today after a long illness at her home in the Hepzibah community near here. She is surived by her husband; one son, Ray Spradley; two daughters, Mrs. Cleve Youngblood, of Troy, and Mrs. A. L. Chancey, of Hartford; four brothers, W. E. Rushing, of Atmore; J. J. Rushing, of Troy; Robert L. Rushing, of San Antonio, Texas, and F. J. Rushing, of Youngblood, and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Howard and Mrs. Redman, of Youngblood. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the home, conducted by the Rev. Ross Dillon, assisted by the Rev. W. M. Rush. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under direction of McGehee Funeral Home. Note: Ida Lizzie Rushing (b. 23 Mar 1866 in Pike Co., AL & d. 5 Oct 1941 in Pike Co., AL) married Charles Thomas Spradley (b. 22 Sep 1861 in AL & d. 16 Feb 1945 in Pike Co., AL) on 21 Jan 1886 in Pike Co., AL. They are both buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy AL. Researched by Ronald Davis Bridges in 1996 and 1997.
