CLYDE MYERS JOHNSON, 66, of Glenwood, AL, Pike Co., died Wed., Nov. 20, 1996, 
at Willow Trace Nursing Home, City of Butler, AL, in Choctaw Co.  Funeral 
services were held at 10 a.m. Fri., Nov. 22, 1996, at Skeen Funeral Home 
Chapel, Troy, AL, with the reverend Marvin Jackson officiating.  Burial 
followed in Hopewell Cemetery near Henderson, AL with Skeen Funeral Home 
directing.  Mr. Johnson was a native of Pike Co.  He was the son of the late 
John Irvin Johnson and the late Rubye Myers Johnson.  He was self-employed as a 
master carpenter and helped friends and neighbors through his carpentry work.  
He was also known for his humorous words.  Survivors include two sons: Danny 
Clyde Johnson of Goshen and Randall Aubrey Johnson of Channelview, TX; three 
daughters:  Janet J. Childs of Dothan, Gena J. Dawkins of Goshen, and Vida J. 
Roberts of Elba; two brothers:  John Irvin Johnson, Jr., of Jacksonville, AR, 
and Clem Joseph Johnson of Troy; a sister, Kathlyn J. Folmar of Goshen; 12 
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
