A bucket in which he was working broke loose from a truck and fell to the ground. Haynes Ambulance service was called to the scene at 1:13 p.m., and Mr. Johnson was first taken to Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy, Ala., before being flown to Flowers Hospital in Dothan. His died of internal injuries on Mon., March 8, 1993. His wife, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, is reported to have said that he was a good and kind-hearted person well-liked by everyone and that he would be missed … also that he was a good father to their sons Jerry, 26, and Alec, 20 … that they were crazy about their papa. Mr. Johnson had worked at Taylor Parts in Troy for more than 19 years and was the store manager. Additional Comments: Tommy was a son of George Hamil and Louise Elizabeth Henderson Johnson and a grandson of George Monroe and Annie Frankie Furlow Johnson. He had graduated in 1964 from Goshen High School, Goshen, Alabama. He was buried at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy.
