Obituary Collection of Kathlyn J Folmar
STROUD, WALTER VERNON (b. 5-22-1906 – d. 11-18-1986)

	Mr. Vernon Stroud, 80, died on Tues., Nov. 18, 1986, at his residence on Route
2 Goshen, Ala., in Pike County.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the
chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, Troy, Ala., with Elder J. P. Morgan officiating.
 Burial will be in Elam-Davison Memorial Cemetery north of Goshen, with Dillard
Funeral Home directing.  Pallbearers will be a nephew, Roy Wilbert Folmar; Keith
Snyder; Larry Snyder; Jerry Folmar; David Messick;  Carroll Rhodes, and Danny
Rhodes.
	Mr. Stroud’s survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rita Folmar Stroud of Route 2
Goshen; two sons, Ramon Stroud of Dothan and Royce Stroud of Route 2 Goshen;
five sisters, Eleanor Gorum and Frances Stroud, both of Huntsville, Ala., Hilda
Starling of Troy, Merle Folmar of Brantley, Ala., and Ouida Owens of San
Antonio, Tex.; four brothers, Rabon Stroud, Goshen, John H. Stroud, Troy, Leamon
Stroud, Springtown, Tex., David Stroud, Jacksonville, Fla.; and two
grandchildren, Steve and Chris Stroud, both of Route 2 Goshen.
	He was the son of Wilson William and Minnie Ola Stroud (or Strowd).
