Obituary Collection of Kathlyn J Folmar
THOMAS, GILLIS LAWRENCE (4-30-1922 – 8-15-1998)

	Gillis Lawrence Thomas, 76, of Goshen, Ala., Pike County, died Sat., Aug. 15,
1998 at his home.  Funeral services were at 3:00 on Mon., Aug. 17, at Joquin
Baptist Church, with the reverends William Leverett, Jerry Wilks, and Phil
Boyles officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery, directed by Dillard
Funeral Home of Troy, Ala.
	Survivors include Mr. Thomas’ widow, Sue Tyler Thomas of Goshen; a daughter and
son-in-law, Sherolyn T. and Marvin Jackson of Goshen; grandchildren Marvin and
Janet Jackson of Greenville, Ala., Greg and Gena Jackson of Goshen, Shannon and
Jamie Taylor of Troy; and a sister, Mary Cathon Tisdale of Goshen.
	Pallbearers were Marv Jackson, Greg Jackson, Jamie Taylor, Eddie Bass, Geoffery
Owens, and Neal Davis.  Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Joquin Baptist
Church, Willie Ray Davis, Fred Homan, Hugh Sikes, Walter Folmar, and Walt Holley.
	Visitation was Sun., Aug. 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
