Obituary Collection of Kathlyn J Folmar
WILKES, Judge S. (b. 5-30-1860 – d. 8-14-1925)

Troy, Ala. Aug. 15 – The friends of Mr. Judge S. Wilkes were grieved to hear of
his death, which occurred at a hospital in Tuscaloosa Friday afternoon.  The
body arrived here [Troy, Pike Co.] this evening and was taken to his home on
Williams Street.
	The funeral will be held at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon, and interment will take
place at Chappell Hill cemetery.
	Mr. Wilkes was about 62 years of age and had been ill for over 12 months.  He
is survived by his wife, Mrs. Judge S. Wilkes [Cynthia]; one son, J. C. Wilkes;
and two daughters, Mrs. J. S. Floyd and Miss Ida Wilkes.
