James David Jordan, Civil War vertran, born 14 Mar 1844, Houston County, 
Georgia, and died 14 Mar 1917, Emhouse, Navarro County, Texas.  He is the 
third child and the first male of John Jordan and Therath Catherine Liptrot. 
His first wife was Juliana Faulk Liptrot, widow of William A. Liptrot, brother 
of Catherine Liptrot Jordan. We know J. D. was married three times and another 
possible unconfirmed marriage.  He had a total of 10 children. He is buried in 
the Pattison Cemetery, Emhouse, Navarro County, Texas.  The picture was 
emailed to me by Cheryl Hiegler Jordan of Texas.  Her husband is a descendant 
of James David Jordan.
