Rev. James Madison Fortune (b. September 26, 1856 - d. May 1, 1904),
son of James & Caroline (Walter/sWatters) Fortune, Sr., married 
Mrs. Rebecca Catherine (Darris) Murphy (b. February 14, 1858 -
d. May 19, 1922) on November 5, 1869 in Pike County, Alabama.  Rebecca 
married first William H. Murphy on December 29, 1857, when she was 12 years, 
10 months, and 15 days old.  They had one daughter, Sarah "Sallie" (1861-1935), 
wife of John W. Porter.  

James and Rebecca are buried in Myrtlewood Cemetery, Fort Deposit,
Lowndes County, Alabama.  Rebecca's death certificate states she is
buried in Fort Deposit.  It is assumed she is buried in one of the
unmarked graves in the Fortune lot. (Previous records state Rebecca
is buried in Center Ridge Cemetery, Pike County, Alabama, not as 
stated on her death certificate.  Which is correct?)
