John H. Hollis 1868-1935  (son of sol) cirica 1891

Additional Comments:
The following was taken from the Pike County History page 373
about the Villages. This excerpt was concerning the
community of Paran
"Sol Hollis was an enterprising and substantial negro
who owned his home and farm situated just west of Paran Church.
He was the blacksmith of the community in the early 1900's
and was highly respected for his industry and good citizenship."
