Ann(Carrol) Hollis wedding dress circa 1865, family lore says that the material 
was given to Ann's mother Mariah Jane Carrol by Samuel Carrol (owner) wife. a 
relative of Sam Carrol's Nathan Carrol bought Mariah Jane on the auction block 
in South Carolina as a companion for his mother. Mariah was a favored servant 
of the family.
