They never had any children. 2. Mattie Elizabeth Pittman, b: 22 Jul 1912 Troy, Pike County, Alabama, d: 20 Oct 2004 Troy, Pike County, Alabama, wife of Henry Willis Stewart, married 17 Apr 1928 Troy, Pike County, Alabama. They had ten children, four boys and six girls. 3. Elma Ruth Grissette, b: 13 Aug 1908 Troy, Pike County, Alabama, d: 05 Nov 1997 Troy, Pike County, Alabama, wife of Robert (Bob) Wesley Stewart, married 13 Mar 1926 in Antioch Baptist Church Pike County, Alabama. They had 13 children, 5 boys and 8 girls. Buried beside her husband, Bob Wesley Stewart, in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery located south of Antioch community on Highway 231 between Brundidge and Troy, Alabama. 4. Pauline Thrash, wife of John Lee STEWART, married 23 Mar 1934 Chilton, Pike County, Alabama. They had six children, five boys and one girl. 5. Friday, October 22, 2004, Obituaries Mattie Elizabeth Stewart Services for Mattie Elizabeth Stewart, 91, of Troy who died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Virgil Wilkes officiating. She will lie-in-state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Burial will be in Sandfield Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the funeral home. Mrs. Stewart was born July 22, 1913 in Pike County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willis Stewart; five children, Frances Miles, Carlos Stewart, Charles Stewart, Bobby Stewart and Shirley Stewart and her parents, Andrew and Mary Wilkes Pittman. Survivors include a son and his wife, Bill and Betty Stewart of Troy; four daughters and their husbands, Doris and Tip Boutwell and Judith and Clarence Butler of Troy, Sue and Lawrence Carnley and Charlotte and Jeff Offenberger of Brantley; twenty five grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and friends of the family.
