In the marriage record her maiden name is spelt Jenerette. She was call Jane by most. She is the daughter of Elias G. Jenerett & Ann Eliza Thomas. Jenerett, Elias. Deceased. Administrator Ann E. Jenerett. Final settlement May 12, 1873. Heirs and distributees: Margaret, wife of John L. Youngblood; Adaline, wife of William Edwards; Josephine, wife of Thomas Youngblood; Eliza J. wife of J. E. H. Rushing; Frances, wife of Harris Howard; Josie, under 21 years of age, wife of Joseph French; also heirs of Christylla, wife of Henry Stevenson, to wit, Elias T. (or P.) Comments: Eliza Jane Jenerett married John E. H. Rushing 16 Nov 1854. J. E. H. Rushing, born 7 Dec. 1834, died 26 Dec 1918, husband of E. Jane Rushing, born 8 Jan. 1839, died 18 Jan. 1927, both buried at Good Hope Baptist Church. He was in Co., B, 53rd Ala. Cavalry Regt., C. S. A. Troy Herald Friday, January 21 1927 Mrs. Jane Rushing died at her home near Youngblood Tuesday afternoon at 4:20 o’clock after a lingering illness. She was 88 years of age January 8, 1927 and was a true Christian, being a faithful member of Good Hope Church. She lived a long and useful life and will be missed by her many relatives and friends. She is survived by four sons and four daughters; W. E. Rushing of Atmore, R. L. Rushing of Lockhart, J. J. Rushing and F. J. Rushing of Troy, Mrs. Fannie Youngblood of South Carolina, Mrs. William Howard, Mrs. C. T. Spradley and Mrs. John W. Redmond of Montgomery and a number of grandchildren and great- grandchildren to mourn her death. The funeral services were held at Good Hope Church the afternoon at 3:00 o’clock and were conducted by J. O. Colley, Supt. of the Baptist Orphanage. The body was laid to rest in the Good Hope Cemetery with Carroll in charge.
