YOUNGBLOOD BORN SEPT. 15, 1842 DIED May 25, 1921 Additional Comments: Thomas J. Youngblood was wounded in the War Between The States, while serving in Co. H 18th Ala, and was publicly commended by Brig. Gen. Holtsclaw. He was a County Commissioner and Trustee of Schools in Pike, Co. for a number of years. When the Troy citizens planned a monument to honor the "Boys in Gray", from th at vicinity, he was asked to serve on the committee, His name, together with those of his two brothers, David B. and James J. who were killed in that war, and the name of a cousin, William Youngblood, appear on the monument.
